Event Description: Crazy Old Man AUDITION NOTICE-ORIGINAL MUSICAL COMEDY HART Theatre is very proud to announce a special audition opportunity for the premiere of an original full-length, fully produced musical comedy written by local playwrights Darrell Baker, Tina Arth and Carl Coughlan, and directed by Paul Roder. Crazy Old Man is the story of Noah, his family, his neighbors, his vision, and the carnival that comes to town. Like the current Russell Crowe movie, it is loosely based on Biblical accounts of the flood – but that is where the resemblance ends! This is your chance to be part of a unique process and to put your stamp on an original role. Audition dates and times (all at HART Theatre): OPEN CALL, NO APPOINTMENTS MADE. Sunday, May 4, 6:00 – 8:00 PM Monday, May 5, 6:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday, May 6, 6:00 – 8:00 PM Auditions will consist of cold readings and a prepared song of no longer than two minutes. We will have an accompanist, please do not bring your own. Rehearsals: will begin May 19, M-Th and some Sundays, depending on schedules and role. Not all actors will be required at all rehearsals until tech and dress weeks. Performances: The show opens Friday, July 11, running Fri/Sat nights at 7:30 and Sun afternoons at 2:00, through August 3. There will be one additional matinee performance on Saturday, July 19. HART Theatre is a non-profit, volunteer-based community theatre. There is no pay or stipend; all participants are entitled to two tickets to any performance.
