Event Description:  Generations at Work: Falling for the Divide

Generational differences in the workplace have become a phenomenon that we can observe and measure but responses to those differences are relatively vague and of dubious impact. Often organizations that rate low on employee engagement try to compensate by applying “peanut butter” response by introducing a benefit or incentive spread across the whole workforce (ie. flex-time or casual Friday).

Organization responses to generational expectations (from Boomers to Millennials) need to be both unified and diversified at the same time; respect employee differences while unifying the workforce around the mission of the enterprise.

At April’s Business Forum, we’ll examine the hidden theme behind employee engagement that motivates workers in all generations. When leaders understand how to leverage it they can better align individual actions with organizational aims. It involves an innovative business modeling methodology and the newest methods of career management.
