The City of Hillsboro Fire Department will host a Veterans Employment Workshop on Saturday, May 9, at the Cherry Lane Fire Station in Hillsboro from 8 am until 1 pm, with lunch included. The workshop will feature individual or small-group sessions on the topics of resume building, interview skills, and translating military experience into civilian terminology. This is a valuable opportunity for job-seeking veterans to have one-on-one time with fire chiefs, managers, and City department heads for coaching and mentoring. Seating is limited.
