Hillsboro, OR 97124 Phone: 503-941-3054 Event Description: National Health Center Week 2017 takes place the week of August 13 through 19, 2017. A major part of Neighborhood Health Center’s celebration will be a health fair on the site of our Tanasbourne Clinic in Hillsboro, Oregon, at the corner of NW Cornell Road and 185th Ave. The health fair will be held Thursday, August 17 from 10 am to 3 pm Neighborhood Health Center (NHC) is a community health center serving residents in Washington and Clackamas Counties. As a nonprofit community health center we provide services to uninsured, under-insured, at-risk, Medicaid, Medicare, underserved populations providing medical, dental and behavioral health as well as clinical pharmacy services including primary care, family planning/reproductive health, immunizations, sports physicals, well-child visits and more. NHC is collaborating with several community partners to host a Health Fair in celebration of National Health Center Week August 13 – 19, 2017. Services provided at the health fair will include blood pressure checks, glucose testing, dental screenings and varnish treatments, free of charge to attendees. NHC will be offering discounted sports physicals and well-child checks for $30. Oregon Health Plan Assisters will be available to answer questions about enrollment. Several programs from Washington Co will be present such as Emergency Preparedness while Washington Co Library services will provide education and activities for children. Attendees will have the opportunity to complete a passport or stamp card for participating in activities. Once complete the passport/stamp card can be redeemed at a farmers produce stand for $5/10 (note: have not determined the amount yet because we are still waiting on money commitments from sponsors) of produce. Children will have the opportunity to participate in games to complete a passport/stamp card to be entered into a drawing to win a bicycle and helmet. The health fair is a collaborative effort on the part of several community organizations and services to offer healthcare, education and support for residents in need and showcase the value for community health centers and their partners.
