Massage and Spa at Bethany

This review is a long time coming and I sincerely apologize Sharlene for not getting it out sooner. After having over 1/2 a dozen massages with Sharlene C. I can honestly say she is one of the most skilled massage therapist I have ever had the pleasure of having work on my aches and pain's. Sharlene has extensive knowledge and experience working with the human anatomy and muscles groups. Using that knowledge along with my complaints, she was able to help me tremendously in reducing my neck and back pain. I would also like to add that her professionalism is top-notch. I am so grateful to have found her! Thank you, Sharlene! On another note, Bethany Spa is a wonderful zen space that you feel comfortable as soon as you walk in the door. It's smells wonderful, it's very clean, spa rooms are cozy and healing ‍ promoting. It's a place to get all of your spa needs taken care from facials to massages.

There are a lot of good reviews here, hopefully my experience was an anomaly. I still want to share my experience in case others with needs similar to mine are thinking of visiting this place.

I live in the area and wanted to try a spa nearby. I decided to treat myself on my birthday. Appointment booking and checkin was seamless. Waiting area was basic but sufficient. The main experience was the massage and it was likely one of the worst massages I have had. I told the therapist that I like gentle pressure in the beginning and increase as the massage progresses. She acknowledged it but went with strong pressure. Throughout the massage I requested to lower the pressure and it wasn't honored. In the hindsight, I should have just paused the massage and leave. After the service, she didn't bother to ask about the experience, the lady at the reception didn't bother either. I left with my body hurting which is not what I had expected. It wasn't a relaxing experience at all.

I go to Kiva and Dragontree for services and I have found therapists there more thoughtful and equipped to handle different needs. This spa didn't feel like a spa rather perhaps massage shops you see in the mall, with therapist knowing only one technique.

My review is for my massage therapist Sharlene! She is apparently a new hire for the spa and is AMAZING!! With over 20 years of experience, you are in skilled hands with her. I love a good deep tissue massage and she delivered! Was really attentive to my needs, worked my (many) problem areas and still balanced the whole service out to be a full body massage that felt complete.

I'm very fortunate to have ended up in her table as my boyfriend had the polar opposite experience. We both booked 90min DEEP TISSUE massage as we just finishing moving from out of state and are a bit beat up. My partners massage was apparently lackluster and devoid of pressure, said he asked repeatedly for more pressure and did not receive any and said he could tell the therapist was seated and phoning it in while performing the service.

Well we will be back but ONLY for Sharlene, I will be nice and share my unicorn find with him so he can feel as blissed out as me next time.

I have struggled with chronic back pain for years...turns out, all I needed was a proper massage! And this place just happened to be down the street from my home.

The staff I interacted with were welcoming and friendly, and my masseuse Kelly was fantastic and clearly knew how to do her job well! She was calm, kind, and really made me feel comfortable for my first time at the spa. The space itself was also very relaxing, clean, and serene.

I also like that there are various packages and options for massages, which can even be catered to your specific treatment needs. For the price, the experience here is worth it!

Very pleased with my experience at The Spa at Bethany. My massage therapist, Janae, is very skilled and has helped work out a number of issues with my back. I appreciate the way she will let me know about a problem area and vary techniques and pressure as needed and as I ask to work out tension. I've had three appointments so far and the service, cleanliness, and pleasing ambiance has been consistently high quality. Very happy and can highly recommend.

The staff is very gracious and wonderful. This review is especially for Charlene. I have been suffering from plantar fasciitis for few years now. However my foot and lower leg pain got worse as I had some lessons in dancing. Charlene just did wonders to my foot. I do not feel such intense pain for a couple of weeks after I get my "sole purpose" massage done by her. This is helping my feet so much and I really appreciate Charlene for the effort she takes in understanding the issue and then fixing the underlying problem. This is a routine for me now. It has been a very good experience so far.

Charlene at the Spa at Bethany is an incredible massage and wellness professional. Her expert ability to identify and then work out the tightness, pain and just body weariness is incredible. She was able to break up tension and pain that had been with me for a very long time; she make me feel like a younger version of myself! I definitely recommend booking time with Charlene - and give yourself the gift of 90 mins, you'll be thankful for the time!

The spa is a lovely getaway that makes you feel like you've stepped away from everyday life and worries! Truly fabulous facility that makes you feel rejuvenated.

place is easy to find and beautifully decorated. Calm and warm environment. Sara did a great job and listened to everything I had to say. I booked a return appointment.

From booking my appointment through the website to walking out the door after my treatments, I couldn't have been happier! I booked the Sweet Euphoria spa package, Adrienne did my facial and Lindsey did my body scrub and massage, both AMAZING!! The energy, expertise and care of their treatments really were magnificent! The sweet lady at the front desk (I am so sorry, I did not catch her name), the promptness of service, kindness and how everyone made the entire experience so welcoming and comfortable. 10/10 Thank you!

This place is a little on higher price, but I wanted to try out a fancy place and this definitely fit the vibe. I went in to spoil myself with a massage and it was heaven. The place is so clean and feels relaxing walking in. The lady I got (can't remember her name) took into consideration my areas of pain and the whole experience was very soothing. I came out feeling so refreshed! I would definitely return here!
