Go here. Have some of the best pizza to exist.
Enjoy the music, the good vibes, the quality drinks, and friendly staff.
Even if the staff sucked I'd probably just get the pizza to go, but luckily everyone is cool as shit!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Hash S.Helvetia, OR21919Nov 20, 2023Updated review
Hillsboro's obsession with "pizza" that's just ingredients served on prepackaged, nearly raw dough is a detriment to anyone who actually wants to enjoy pizza in this town. You get all these crybabies who come in from the woods for a weekend, come to a pizza place that doesn't send them home with a dough circle to bake in their own oven and complain that it's "burnt."
I'd posit that half of the individuals who make this complaint are, themselves, burnt.
Pizzario has taken on the thankless task of making wood-fired pizza for Western Washington County for almost a decade. Before them, Earth Mother made hippie pies for people with forgiving palates and a broad interpretation of the pizza spectrum. Since taking over, Pizzario has done nothing but steadily improve its pizza offerings and make its pies more akin to what you'd find in a wood oven in a major city.
They've improved the oven, they've started making their own dough and they've begun exporting their pizza to events around town. The pizza they've provided Skywater Wines' "surface tension" events for its Italian reds have been points of pride.
But I'm going to knock a star off for the music. It's great to see the block come alive and wonderful to hear the sounds cascading down Main Street, but as a dine-in experience... the live acts are a nightmare from about mid-October through early June. The Pizzario space is small and, unless you're catching an open mic night or a jam, you're getting local cover acts and wedding bands. It's slow torture at high volume, and the death metal at Sizzle Pie was easy listening by comparison.
I appreciate Pizzario's willingness to keep improving and to encourage people to eat its pizza at Skywater, Noble Hop and several of the other weirdly prolific bring-your-own-food tasting rooms downtown. But despite perhaps the most underrated cocktail menu in town, the dine-in experience is often a steady din of wailing--from either toddlers or pale bluesmen.
Pizzario deserves credit for trying to elevate pizza in this town beyond chains and BBQ sauced concoctions. Unfortunately, its efforts are best experienced almost anywhere but its dining room.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Oct 18, 2020Previous reviewMy family DOES NOT like talking about this place. Why? It isn't because it makes personal-sized pizzas in a brick oven at reasonable prices. It isn't because of the well-thought-out pasta of the day. It isn't because of its commitment to live music that's continued through COVID and made Main Street sound like Frenchmen Street on a Friday Night. It's not because the owner's made the beer list look like a distilled version of his Noble Hop beer bar across the street. It's because it just might be the best cocktail bar on the strip, and locals will bludgeon you about the head and shoulders for saying so. But do me a favor: Go in, look at the cocktail menu, order one and tell me you aren't getting the same craft of mixology-obsessed places down the street for a fraction of the cost. We went out this week for dinner and stopped at two bars afterward: One was going through its fifth iteration in as many years and the other had spruced up it interior and menu, but was still doing dive-bar cocktail pours. A few cocktails make it all the more amusing when your cousin admits that, for more than half a decade, he's been calling PizzaRIO PiZARio, and no one's ever corrected him. That, and the servers' well-hidden laughter, make me love this place all the more. Wishing it the best, and hoping it keeps the outdoor seating once this all blows over.

Just moved back to Hillsboro after being away a long time and was hopeful about this place. The ambience, pizza and music were good and that is what the stars are for. I do like the concept of this place. Service however was lacking. At first I thought it was because the house was packed. My first clue should've been when the server said to us , "well we have a packed house tonight so I don't know if you wanna wait or you can just come back a different day" to which I replied, "can we sit outside?" Less than enthused he said yes.
We ended up staying because the music was good. When people began to leave, we made an additional order for an item but it never made it to our table. We very well could've left without even paying as it was a constant search and find with our server.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kinsey S.OR, OR036Mar 17, 2024
Best pizza in town , wood fire & live music everyone who works here is always so kind. They go out of their way to ask how you are and how your day is going which is rare nowadays because most places get straight to the business. The artichoke dip and garlic bread was DELICIOUS!! You can really tell how much effort they put into the food here. The Maui, bbq chicken, hot papa and hot mama are my personal favorites, must tries !!! I was informed that the owners make their own homemade pizza dough which is unlike any pizza dough I've tried seriously great job!! Music is awesome , and the cocktails are soooo good, makes it even better how flexible the bartenders are with requests I'm a pretty frequent flyer so I 10000% recommend this small family owned pizza restaurant over dominos, pizza schmizza, or even godfathers any day of the week.

Sadly this trip here was not a good one. The pizza was burned on the top and soggy on the bottom.
The spinach dip and bread were over salted.
The waitress we had was horrible. Getting service, even napkins was a challenge.
I was looking forward to the pizza that my family had been eating for years. Now that I could try, needless to say I'm beyond disappointed. A decade without pizza and to have this experience.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Kaiden G.Hillsboro, OR034Feb 11, 2024
My fiancée and I came here for the first time after living next to this place for the last few months and WOW, amazing food. We can't wait to make this our usual spot. The artwork on the ceiling is so beautiful to look at, the food was made with love and so delicious. The artichoke appetizer is the best we've ever had. We can't wait to keep coming back and keep supporting! Looking forward to live jazz nights.

Let me say that our service has been good and the there is live music every night, but that is where the good review ends.
We first started coming here a couple years back and the pizza was on point with a thin crispy crust and just enough topping to avoid sogginess. We've been here twice in the last four months and the pizza has been mediocre at best. The crust is too thick and very flabby. I don't know if they changed recipe or starter or chef, but the quality has severely declined. For the cost, which I don't mind paying for good wood fired pizza, I'll be searching for a new place.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Nov 22, 2022
I was a bit disappointed with my pizza. I had the Hawaiian and for $18 on a 12 inch pizza, put some toppings on it please. Crust was decent, but a just at the edge of being burnt. Sauce was decent, but the sparseness of the toppings on this pizza left me unsatisfied.
Props for the delivery to the bar across the street where I was with a group of friends.
Maybe other pizzas would have more toppings, but I'd skip Hawaiian.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jun 23, 2021
Nice wood-fired pizza and great cocktails! I love the Indy hipster vibe and marveled at the vibrant murals on the tiled ceilings, don't forget to look up!
While the pizza had a nice charred crust and topped with basil, the sauce was quite bitter and some of the slices desperately needed more globs of fresh mozzarella cheese to balance out the flavor. The pizza didn't quite hit the mark, but has lots of potential.
The warm cider cocktail with Makers Mark (upon request) hit the spot! It was soooo good and hands-down among the best cocktails in PDX.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0
