The Casita Azul Education Collective invites you to the Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening Ceremony for its new Hillsboro Campus, home to Spanish Horizons Academy (K–5), Casita Azul Preschool & Daycare, and Cocinarte, a bilingual cooking and culture studio.

This celebration marks a major milestone in expanding bilingual, culturally rooted education in Washington County. The event will include welcome remarks by Owner and Founder Laura Paz-Whitmore, a formal ribbon cutting, guided tours of the new classrooms and programs, and a bilingual cooking demonstration showcasing Cocinarte’s creative, hands-on learning approach.

Laura Paz-Whitmore, owner of the Casita Azul Education Collective, is a long-time advocate for early childhood and bilingual education. What began as one small home daycare has grown under her leadership into a network of thriving Spanish-immersion schools serving families across Beaverton, Tigard, and Hillsboro. Her mission is to create inclusive spaces where language, culture, and community come together to inspire lifelong learning.
