from Matt Craigie, Economic Development Manager.

Matt joined Washington County in the Spring of 2021. As the County’s first Economic Development Manager, he is tasked with leading efforts to build the County’s economic development program. Matt has over a dozen years of experience in economic development, urban planning, and real estate. He has applied expertise in strategic planning, economic development, market analysis and development feasibility, urban planning, and public/private partnerships. Prior to joining the County, Matt was a consultant with some of the most prominent economics and real estate consultancies in the Pacific Northwest. Previously, he was the Economic Development Manager for the City of Woodburn, a Regional Planner at Metro, and a Peace Corps Volunteer in the mountains of the Dominican Republic.
